It is spotted in the GFXBench website that a new Sony smartphone code named “Pikachu” gone under GFXBench’s graphics test. Yes. You are not guaranteed by leaks from a benchmark site so swallow it with a grain of salt for now.
According to the result, Pikachu could probably be a mid range smartphone. The specs are as follow,
Display : 1280×720, 5″ (no mention of type), 5 finger support.
SoC : MediaTek MT6757 (Cortex A53 – ARMv8)
octa core CPU @2.3GHz
GPU : ARM Mali-T880 MP2 (dual core)
RAM : 4GB (expected)
ROM : 32GB (expected)
Camera : 21 MP rear/ 7 MP front
Sensors : Accelerometer, Proximity, Light, NFC.
As all we know Sony is struggling hard in smartphone space, but it consistently launching new devices. We are expecting from Sony’s media event at Mobile World Congress this year, a few new devices which may include the currently leaked “Pikachu”. If rumors go right we will soon see this smartphone to be announced at MWC itself.
